College and Career
The Foundation Baptist Church College and Career Group serves the singles in
our church that are college age and above; kind of a youth group for those that
are not of youthful age.
The purpose of the group is threefold:
- To study God's Word so that we might develop our personal relationship with
Christ and to be strong and faithful witnesses at our school or workplace.
- To encourage good and godly fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ
and produce long-lasting relationships with friends that are not only concerned
with the physical well-being of others in the group, but also the spiritual
well-being as well.
- To have a ministry to those that are strangers to God's grace
We have a regular monthly Bible Study, which is led by our Pastor (the group meets
every second Friday evening of the month). It is excellent opportunity to spend
time in God's Word and enjoy wonderful Christian fellowship and some good eatin'
at a church member's home. Every last Friday evening of the month, we get together
for an activity within the city, or sometimes outside of it. We'll meet at a designated
spot, and head out to partake in one of the many activities there are to do in
Calgary. Then to end off the evening, we'll meet at somebody's house for a short
devotional message and some more good eatin'. We also get together at other times
outside of the organized group and enjoy each other's fellowship and eat some
more (yeah, we eat a lot).
Lord willing, in the near future an outreach ministry will avail itself so
we can, as a College and Career Group, reach out with the Gospel to those in
our city.
